Frequently Asked Questions

Do you think I really could lower my debt with an Offer in Compromise?

The Offer in Compromise is a wonderful program for those who qualify, but there are very few people who do. If you do qualify for an Offer in Compromise, the negotiated amount will have to be paid within a few months. My team looks at all of your options. If you qualify for an Offer in Compromise and this is truly the best solution for you, then we will help you with it.

Couldn't I just get an IRS Installment Agreement myself?

You could apply for any tax program on your own. But, should you? If your tax debt is over $10,000, the IRS may pressure you into an unaffordable payment plan, and that's if you can even get anyone with the IRS to talk to you about it. My team works one on one with IRS authorities. The IRS knows that we are professionals with the facts on what the taxpayer rights really are. They don't try those pressure tactics with us. We won't accept anything less than the best possible situation that you are allowed by law.

What do I do if the IRS garnishes my wages or levies my bank account?

You need to get into a legal agreement with the IRS fast! Don't try to handle the IRS on your own. Garnishments and Bank Levies are a pressure tactic used to push you into saying yes to whatever the IRS wants you to do. My team can end this kind of aggressive action fast and get you the legal agreement that works best for you…not the IRS!

What can I do about Penalties and Interest?

The older your debt is, the fatter it grows with penalties and interest. The best thing you can do to keep it from getting worse is to pay off your debt as quickly as possible. Some people also qualify for penalty abatement, which can remove some or all of your penalties. My team can help you figure out if you qualify for penalty abatement and help you file for it. We'll also make sure that you find a way to pay off your tax debt that works for you.

Why should I hire your company?

We have been in business since 1997 and have maintained an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. My team went into business so that we could offer real results. Many of our competitors make big promises and simply don't deliver. We work hard to defend you now and arm you for later. We want to make sure you never have to face tax problems like this again.

How much do you charge?

We charge our clients different fees for different services. We never charge a retainer and we don't demand that you pay everything up front. After you have had a very thorough consultation with someone on my team, we figure out what your total fee would be for every service you need to be placed in the best possible situation. A lot of our competitors will give you a number that sounds low on the phone, but they just keep adding on fees upon fees until you're broke. My team wants to put you in a better financial situation and will work with you on the legal fees.

Why should I talk to your company?

We have a long list of reasons why you should contact us. First of all, Tax Defense Network has been around for more than 14 years now and has an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. We have a former revenue officer, the IRS Hitman, heading our legal department. Our tax debt professionals are the most experienced and knowledgeable in the industry, and they continue their education on IRS policy throughout the year (not just tax season). We were built on a foundation of service to others. Many of our competitors have F ratings and attorneys with little actual tax knowledge. Their companies were built on a foundation of "Let's get rich selling Offers in Compromise."

How do I get a consultation?

You can call or fill out the form to the right for a free consultation on your tax problems. Don't let the IRS ruin your life! Talk to my team and take control of your tax problems!
